BGMI Lite is finally moving past the rumour stage. The official BGMI account has confirmed that BGMI Lite pre-registration will start on August 25, 2026 in India.
For players who have been waiting for the lighter version of Battlegrounds Mobile India, this is probably first update that feels real. There have been talking about BGMI Lite for a long time but now players actually have a date they can follow.
One thing needs to be clear though. August 25 is the pre-registration date, not the full release date. You will be able to register for BGMI Lite from that day, while the game itself will become playable later.
